Homerton Baptist Church is an Independent Grace Baptist Church.  As such we are not a denomination and so are self-governing.

Homerton Baptist Church is registered as a Place of Worship and entitled to Charity Status, as a Recognised Charity, and is entitled to any benefits from holding such status.  The church is registered to accept income under the Gift Aid Scheme.  The church is an associated member of the Association of Grace Baptist Churches (South-East).

Under United Kingdom law Christian Churches are automatically recognised as a charity and therefore do not need to become a Registered Charity.  Churches do however have to register if they reach the Audit Threshold of £100,000 per annum.

London Overground Trains:

Homerton Railway Station is also located in Barnabas Road and the church is within  100 yards, in a southward direction. The station is located on the "London Overground" (Website or Map PDF).

Although there are no underground stations located close to the church, London Overground does link to a number of Underground stations such as Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line), and Stratford (Central Line, Jubilee Line, Docklands Light Railway, and TfL Rail) .

Bus Routes:

The bus routes which pass close to the church are (PDF Map):

• Wick Road:  26, 30, 388, and N26
• Morning Lane (Ponsford Street):  30 & 425
• Homerton High Street:  236, 242, 276, 308, 488, and W15.

Car Parking:

There is no parking available at the church. On Sunday's there is suitable parking available in local streets. During the week local roads have parking restrictions for local residents only. We therefore recommend the usage of the car parks in Stratford & West Field for those who need to use cars.

As a church we are a member of the Association of Grace Baptist Churches (South East) often referred to as the AGBC(SE).  Grace Baptist Charities Ltd act on behalf of the church as Trustee's of our property trust deed.
